After two years of planning and waiting finally I have made it to the spectacular breeding colony of Southern Carmine Bee-Eaters, situated on the banks of the Zambezi river. While the Carmines are the star attraction, the whole area is beautiful, with quiet backwaters off the main river that hold so many gems.
